Golf Course Program Overview

HealthySoil rapidly improves soil health, which enables customers to maintain quality turf grass with reduced financial, agronomic, and water resources. Within 150 days, golf course customers typically notice a decrease in compaction and an increase in water infiltration and retention. HealthySoil integrates Best Management Practices (BMPs), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and the fundamentals of soil science to provide an option for golf course turf managers seeking solutions to today’s agronomic challenges.
HealthySoil provides a three-prong approach to sustain quality turf grass:
- Conditions the soil
- Introduces diverse, high-quality microorganisms
- Provides soil with ample nutrition to support microorganisms
Rising input costs, limited water resources and the widespread use of reclaimed / poor quality water are challenging conventional turf management strategies. HealthySoil offers an innovative solution to improve the efficiency of irrigation water to:
- Reduce amount of water required to maintain quality turf grass
- Reduce turf maintenance costs
- Mitigate the negative impact of lower quality water on plant and soil health

HealthySoil is a series of top dressings and liquid applications that are easily integrated into existing irrigation schedules. HealthySoil customizes formulations to meet the changing needs of the golf course to ensure optimal turf health.
- Liquid Applications: 8 per year, applied through irrigation system.
- Dry Top-Dress Applications: 2 per year.
HealthySoil does not have a restricted re-entry period (REI) and does not interrupt play.
HealthySoil is superior to other biological programs currently available to the golf course industry:
- Improves profitability by reducing the amount of water and synthetic inputs required to maintain optimal plant health.
- Offers a highly-diverse and active biological inoculate containing populations of beneficial bacteria, protozoa and fungi.
- Includes an aggressive soil conditioning regime and a nutritional component to enhance the value of the inoculate.
- Addresses a wide range of soil and plant health issues through its integrated, program-approach to soil management.
- Actively monitors and measures improvements in soil health to quantify results.
- Promotes environmental stewardship by protecting and improving soil quality and by reducing dependence on non-renewable resources including fuel, synthetic fertilizers, and pesticides.
- Minimizes the adverse affect of synthetic inputs on humans, wildlife, water quality and the environment.
HealthySoil provides golf course managers with the tools and the road map for sustainable golf course management. HealthySoil is not a single product directed towards a single issue; instead it offers an innovative, comprehensive, and sustainable solution to build long-term turf health.
